Located in an exclusive subdivision in Carmona, Cavite, this house was envisioned to be a modern, minimalist residence for a young family of six. Centered on the values of family and fun, the owners wanted the house to have spaces that would encourage interaction and play. The house would be a mix of laid-back & industrial ambience with modern & cozy feel. 

With the vision in hand, the layout of the floor plan considered providing spaces that overlap functions of work, play and relaxation. Rooms of study and work are adjacent to areas of play and relaxation and vice versa. This concept can also be seen from the exterior since the house looks like two volumes merging together. 

The white boxy facade is accentuated with wood tones and charcoal fence and roof. The color scheme, especially the vertical wood cladding on the ground floor creates a resort feel which the owners wanted from the beginning. 

The interior made use of different ceiling heights to add more visual space, receive more natural light and create interest as you move from one area to another. Light-colored walls and ceilings were used for a bright interior. Concrete wall accents add an industrial and laid back feel to the spaces where they are applied.
