GUNITA – CYNTHIA HALL
Principal Architect: Tim Reynaldo
Contractor: DL Cervantes Construction Corp
Date Completed: October 2019
Floor Area: 463.96 SqM
Situated within Gunita Complex. The initial plan for the metal-clad building was to serve as the restaurant. The two facades of the building face north-east, where a great open area and a view of the mountains can be viewed, and south-east, where the larger event space that will eventually be located. When viewed from the rear parking spaces, the building seems shorter due to its sloping site. But Going down the ramps or steps create a bit of experience as one enters the building and is greeted by a taller entrance.
The structure draws inspiration from the Scandinavian design of frame buildings and barn houses. Wood finishes are used to provide warmth in interior and outdoor spaces. The hidden connections of the standing seam cladding that covers the walls and roof adds to the modern elegance to the building’s facade.
