GUNITA – OWNER’S VILLA
Principal Architect: Tim Reynaldo
Contractor: DL Cervantes Construction Corp.
Date Completed: October 2019
Floor Area: 165.21 SqM
This modern minimalist bungalow was the first to be built in the Gunita complex. The villa, which is primarily influenced by its location, is multi-level and follows the site’s curves. The bedrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas, and patio areas are divided by these levels.
As you enter the porch, you get an indoor-outdoor feeling throughout the villa. The master bedroom has an inside access, a direct view of the infinity pool, and an opening to the porch. The other bedrooms open to the lanai and porch. This arrangement facilitates easy movement of people within and advances the idea of integrating the building with the surrounding landscape.
The dining and living areas have large sliding doors that open to the garden and provide views of the lawn beyond. The south-facing facade’s exposure to the sun is reduced by its extensive eaves. The guests can see the infinity pool and the dragon fruit field beyond from the opposite side of the living room.
